As the Program Coordinator at Mukti Nepal, I have seen how peacebuilding, dialogue, and community leadership can help transform conflict and promote social justice at the local level. Through the Local Capacity for Peace program, we work with women, youth, peace volunteers, local governments, community groups, and other stakeholders to strengthen nonviolent action, social harmony, psychosocial wellbeing, and inclusive participation. I have closely witnessed how community-led action can reduce child marriage, strengthen girls’ education, and support women and adolescents to speak for their rights.
